    Sorry to (have to) repeat myself but the real threat to freedom of speech on campus is university leaders frightened of criticising the government because of repercussions, not a student society protesting a speaker invitation.

    This landmark ruling by a Dutch court sets a strong legal precedent for others to follow: one of the first times a court has stopped the use of digital technologies by welfare authorities on human rights grounds. My statement here:

    Congratulations to Dr Atkinson. Brilliant thesis on human rights and labour law, and a great pleasure to examine it. Labour law is very lucky to have young scholars of this calibre coming through.

    I have had a wonderful visit to today, but cannot get over the shock of discovering they have Jeremy Bentham's ~ 200 year old body preserved in a wooden cupboard and we casually walked by it on the way to dinner... absolutely bananas. 🧐🤓
