Actually, there’s a lot of testing if asymtomatic people in MA. There’s been a rush to get tests before out of state travel.

comparison. 0.1% *is* a very low rate for colleges, regardless. -
And, also FP rates are different across assays. When looking at low prevalence situations, such things start to matter a fair bit.

To what extent is the difference in rate an effect of different testing thresholds?

And to what extent is the difference in rates accounted for by populations - i.e. these tests came from college students, who are generally from wealthier families who can effectively quarantine, and not from a representative sample of New Englanders.
