    I think the iPad's Slide Over app picker is the iOS 9 feature that will age more badly. Too slow to find an app, needs a grid layout.

        @viticci it does, however, show the same recent apps as the multitasking UI, which mitigates this somewhat

        @stroughtonsmith that's not completely accurate https://www.macstories.net/stories/ios-9-review/15/#the-spatiality-of-ipad-multitasking … (search for "first three icons")

        @stroughtonsmith (took me a while to understand this while I was writing the review)

        @viticci The cmd + tab app switcher is better, almost a carbon copy of OS X.

        @bestham yes. Love it as well

      @viticci Needs a search/filter field.

        @viticci on iPad Air 2, is it still one column when you expand the multitasking pane to be wider?

      @viticci it's awful UX, even just ordering by more used app and making more icons fit the view would make it so much better

        @viticci it should just show springboard

        @nheagy @viticci Yeah. I *love* the scaling animation though. I drag down the little dingus just for fun as an idle habit.

      @viticci @fakebaldur Again, I can only assume Apple QA is rarely done with (m)any third-party apps installed. Things don’t scale.

      @viticci @fakebaldur Needs a search/filter. Barely useable by default. Nightmarish now I have dozens of compatible apps. Dreadful UI.

      @viticci Should just show your iPads home screen shrunk down to an iPhone size.

      @viticci Needs a mini Springboard/home screen, greying out the icons for apps that don't support Slide Over. Also pull-down search by name.

      @viticci or needs a setting to remove apps from being listed.

        @viticci definitely. Do you know how it's sorting it now? Chronological by use?

      2. runestar ‏@runestar3 24 Oct 2015

        @alimomen By use apparently. Just like your multitasking view. So your most recently used app appears at the bottom.

      @viticci My biggest issue with it is that it's not easily discoverable.
