Three years after our original concept ( https://youtu.be/J2VcbT4Pgdk ) you can now finally drag notifications to open app windows in iPadOS 🎉 🎉 (Hopefully this will work for third-party apps too...?)pic.twitter.com/J15i8jMHPw

Nice. Just tried it with Deliveries, works great even without updating the app. Does exactly what you'd expect—takes you to the same place in the app you'd go to if you tapped the notification 👍🏻

It’s just remarkable how much of this has come true - and especially with much of the same intent and even placement for certain things! Bravo!

Now that's cool. Do you happen to know if you can drag apps on the left side of the ipad now instead of it forcing it to be on the right by default?

You can do this already on iOS 12.

what I’m referring to is initiating a pop up app. On iOS 12 it always starts on the right side and then you have to manually move it to the left (which is annoying and unnecessary)

Oh, got it. I always do split view. Just checked and yes, you can drag a slide over app directly to the left side in iOS 13.

Can you still drag apps from spotlight search into slide over? I’ve been trying but it doesn’t seem to work

I watched your concept videos for iOS 10 and 11 (why didn't you do 12 and 13?), and I think I'd still prefer your split screen app selector (with search!). Dragging from the home screen or (now) fiddling through a stack of apps is still very much an involved process.
