Let it not be said that caring for children and families at our Southern border needs to be a partisan issue. @HouseGOP just delivered $4.6 billion to abet the humanitarian crisis AND strengthen border security. The Senate arrived at this solution yesterday in a 84 – 8 vote.
While @SenatorSchumer and solution-minded Democrats align themselves with Republicans, I call on @SpeakerPelosi to continue our progress addressing the border crisis by bringing up bipartisan legislation to reform our immigration policy.
I am happy to hear that both parties can get something done! I just hope the money actually gets to those kids who did nothing wrong. It sickens me to core that some people don't want to help children just because they are Brown!

This bill does nothing to help reunite families, provide proper care and legal assistance for asylum seekers or investigate the deaths of immigrants in custody. It's a big check for the private detention centers profiting from the inhuman treatment of the most vulnerable.
But i will say you give credit to GOP House members for passing this but that Senate Bill would not have passed without House Democrats and we both know it!
