This week, in a fleeting moment of bipartisanship, the House voted to consider my legislation to take spending off autopilot. Amid the partisan caps bill put forth and then pulled by @HouseDemocrats, I was pleased my Spending Safeguard Amendment was accepted for debate. (2/4)
While @HouseDemocrats' budget itself ultimately didn’t come for a vote, I'm encouraged by the House's willingness to address out-of-control spending in Washington and look forward to future opportunities to advance my Spending Safeguard Act as we debate a budget. (3/4)
