I am a fan of many artists and celebrities. I have no idea what their religious beliefs are. I am Baptist and we say RIP or RIH. However, if a Jewish person says "May his memory be a blessing " in reference to a Baptist/Christian person's death, it's no biggie. It's respect.

Please fix this. Sondheim was Jewish, and in Judaism we never say, “rest in peace.” Instead, we say “may their memory be a blessing.”
