Depends where you play. At some traditional institutions the “running game” counts for little. Also “blocking” (ie a collaboration in which you are not first or senior author) is of no value, and “special teams” (education/administration) is only just beginning to be recognized.

  5. When I started fellowship training , my friend told me: You need a passing game (big research papers, RCTs), but also a running game (case reports, chart reviews, letters, reviews). Do both. Become good at it. This strategy has served me well.

PDLs favored brand names in almost all cases. Use of Basaglar and generic glatiramer was much higher in states where MCOs are not subject to PDLs than in states with FFS Medicaid, or where MCOs are subject to PDLs.

It’s 2020. It’s February. It’s Black History Month. For this year I set the intention: Deepen the Bench. I have long been committed to bringing folks from underrepresented backgrounds into tech and media, and to helping them thrive once they’re in. To that end: I want your money.

We made a set of policy choices that have had a particularly bad effect on prescription drug prices. 2 big ones 👇 - Law that prevents Medicare from negotiating - Failure to institute an agency to set a value based price ceiling on each new drugs & prevent price increases

  14. The reason prescription drug prices are so crazy high in America is NOT because other countries have lower prices.

90% of the public wants Medicare to negotiate for prescription drug prices. Which other issue do you ever see this kind of agreement? Yet it has still not happened. Will it happen this time?

There is no “one and done” bill, there’s only progress. The future is unknowable, the system too complex, and our needs are changing significantly every few years anyway. Plus there will be pieces that just don’t work on any bill. 2/

As caucuses tonight, I have the following advice on health care if this issue is important to you. Vote for the candidate who within 4 years has the greatest chance to pass legislation that does the most good for the most people and sets us up for more progress ahead. 1/
