I’m currently witnessing the most terrifying scene I’ve ever experienced in Albany: dozens of cops calling for rollbacks alongside white nationalists and white supremacists and criminalization-oriented Republicans.

Yes, please ask! It is shameful that the Attorney General comes to New York to charge Tiffany Harris with a hate crime that can mean up to TEN years in prison. This makes no one safer, and is just political posturing and fear-mongering

In 2015, Chicago passed a historic reparations ordinance for survivors of police torture under Burge. In 2020, we will work to get $ for a memorial and a fully funded center. Can you help us make sure the city follows through on its promise?

NY's new bail law is about basic fairness. Keeping people locked up pretrial should be the exception but it has become the norm, resulting in loss of jobs, homes and coerced pleas. Lawmakers hold firm, no roll backs. Public safety fears are overblown

This week, two judges penned op-eds in favor of our pretrial reforms to bail and discovery because even they saw the injustice of the prior system, so don’t believe the hype when they say only crazy Dems support these reforms 👇🏾1

Remember when Stop and Frisk was struck down and all these reactionary voices in NYC rose in unison to say it would spell a new era of horrible crime? They were 100% wrong. It's the exact same play now with bail reform.
