I'm getting curious about variables that seem like they should form a part of the basis of identity politics, but don't, like height (it is a shared trait, it is visible, it is the basis of some disadvantages). Are there are other such variables?
That's not an unambiguous negative though. It might get you bullied as a kid alongside other traits, but in adults, it has as many advantages (looking intellectual/serious) as disadvantages.

ah.. didn't realize the question was for negatives only. Wouldn't shorter height also confer some advantages though? (am thinking cattle class airplane seats for one!) How about southpaws? no advantages other than in sports I think..

Well, in general identity politics takes roots around variables that are perceived to create weakness and therefore justify collective action to seek redressal.
