What if everybody in the world could vote in any country's elections, with an exponentially decaying weight set by shortest distance from boundary?
So Chinese people would have say a 1/32 vote in American elections?

Doesn’t work in reality. It’s hard enough to drag enough people out of apathy to vote in their own elections...let alone having to care about issues influencing a foreign election. Besides — people have no *real* skin in the game in foreign elections.

And it’s called an observation based on reality. Do you disagree that many people are almost entirely disengaged in their local / national politics? Given that is the case — how likely is it you get people to care about issues across the globe.
