Smart when there is an urge to build and new tools are affordable; dumb if enough tools exist to build something more or less known but other blocks/gaps/habits/Resistance need to be solved

All I can say is that this approach has been extremely fruitful for me. For years actually. It’s led me to studying math, physics, comp sci, led to consulting opps, travel opps, and even actual building (as in real estate). I haven’t heard it phrased so succinctly before.
