I am wary of trope archetypes that acquire the weight of folk statistical assumptions. For example is it actually the case that Jordan Peterson’s audience is primarily troubled young men, in search of strong moral leadership? Any fans outside that demo/psychographic? 🤔

I'm a fan, through his lectures online & way he handles himself in tough interviews/conversations. Not young or troubled. I thought stereotype demo/psychographic would be Manosphere - white, men disillusioned with feminism, divorce, immigration, etc..., i.e. the patriarchy.

Well the students who sign up for his university classes seem to be mostly women, consistent with the general demographics of psych. I've listened to quite a few hours, as have my wife and brother.

The people I know who are 100% Petersonites are married middle aged Christian dudes, weary of the PC police, learned of him from the Newman interview and discovered that they like his unabashed, pugnacious defense of their delusional belief system. I like about 75% of his stuff
