I really dislike strength training. It’s the one form of exercise I never, ever, look forward to. Wish there was a substitute that I could find at least a little addictive, like running or a racquet sport.

I peeked into a gym where they were doing CrossFit this one time and got so exhausted just looking I had to go home and drink a protein shake and crash in front of the TV 🙂 Basic starting strength is all I’ve been able to kinda stick to.

I found a disaffected ex-CrossFit gym in Oakland and it’s the best fitness thing I’ve ever done. Highly recommend if you can find something like it that values safety and sustainability over mindless risk-pushing

Proper CrossFit seems obsessed with pushing personal bests at the cost of long-term health. My gym is obsessed with sustainability and form and safety and it’s awesome.
