I feel like the Dark Tower series sort of cheated its way to the top by incorporating Stephen King’s entire corpus as part of the same universe.

There’s a whole book he wrote post-DT which culminates in the protagonist shuffling seats with one of the minor characters in DT, which butterfly-effects his role in the series. Pretty epic scale for a fantasy series.
