Went running a couple of times this week after not running for 3 years (nagging ankle thing). I’d forgotten the wonderful deep relaxation that comes the next day.

That too, though I don’t push hard enough for that to be too bad. More a jogger than a runner.

I try to arrange my life so I spend 100% of my time either running or very tired from running

Cycling is nice in that it’s low impact so easier on ankles and other joints. Same endorphin and exhaustion cycle though
