This is my conversational account. For my work follow @ribbonfarm, @breaking_smart, @artofgig. Tweets are 90% vacuous views, apathetically held. Mediocritopian.

Successfully ignored WHCD thing beyond just noting that it’s a thing for the moment I’m going to measure my focusing success in terms of the number of useless things I successfully ignored

Maybe the metric is “time between when they happened and when you first find out about them”

I don’t think that’s an issue. You can just note something and filter it put. You don’t have to find out late. For example I’m usually aware of the Grammys or oscars happening but it is zero effort for me to ignore. It’s no filter strain since I’m just not interested.

The way I know I’m successfully ignoring nfl football without needing to be entirely blind to it going on There’s a difference between noticing enough to filter out and paying attention willingly or through being clickbaited

But how can you count the number of things you ignore if you’re actually ignoring them? 🤔🤫

I take similar pride in not being aware of, for instance, which Kardashian just had a baby or what the new royal baby is named or who all the characters in Infinity War are.

Today I am camping between many rivers, apparently, and prefer not to jump in to prove they are moving. I see the leaves carried away. My fire is warm. (But man am I tempted to see what Kind of swimmer I am!)
