Curious that there are no evocative modern progressive archetypes comparable to hippie, bleeding heart, etc. from previous decades. SJW is this impersonal bureaucratic label that doesn’t evoke any particular characteristics or conjure up a “type”. My sample set is too varied.

Ah. Interpreted the tweet as being about archetypes even if they're just in the eyes of the opposing party. Insults yea but they're consistent within an alt-right narrative against feminism. This category is probably where we'll see an equivalent archetype emerge from.

They have to be communicable whatever the source. Prejudices are purely subjective, stereotypes can spread in the ingroup, archetypes can get universal. Like ‘gun nut’ is universal even though it has negative/positive valence in left/right

Ah ok great point. I think you're right then. Only thing that could fit is "hipster." Coined in the 40s apparently but seemed to get really popular in the past decade. Not just about politics of course but most definitions mention progressive politics and counter culture
