I watched trailers for >10 of Masterclass courses (heavily marketed on Facebook). Seemed like mix of intro and some grad level, anchored around a big name. May point to productive retro-reframe of expert tutor sharing life lessons rather than teaching specific level

heh, and I were just talking about curated versus algorithmic modes of online education. Any course that's primarily discoverable via ads rather than WOM would be suspicious to me. Altucher bitcoin crap being the dregs of the latter.
Yes, me too. The reputations for originality and creativity of the people they have attracted to teach the courses is the draw I think. They also offer an all you can eat subscription which kinda counteracts the algo, opening up courses you might not buy alone
