I have stopped telling people that I don't watch television, as it's a more complicated discussion now that most "TV" is online. I instead pretend not to have seen the particular episode my friends are discussing. Makes for a shorter story, less character development necessary.

I take perverse satisfaction in series finales where I can honestly say I never caught one episode.

K&R, Pratchett, most of Ribbonfarm (
), most of SSC and the "LW canon" (i.e. Sequences and so on: couldn't be bothered), any quantum mechanics, Categories for the Working Mathematician, Star Trek (have watched, but too little), the Haskell Book (learned the lang too early) -
Taleb, most Pinker, most of the older "hacker" movies, and of course too many American cultural Staples to list (Simpsons — of recent relevance — aside, Mr. Rogers comes up often)
