I have been obsessed lately with the hypothesis that consciousness is the luminiferous ether of time.
As with the spatial version, it is an awkward, just-so theory. To eliminate it, we need a weird new assumption similar to ‘speed of light is constant for all observers’

i know this is a common trope of these conversations but can we ever really understand consciousness without the tool of psychedelics? they’re our closest analog to calculus enabling physics.
