Diappointing responses here. None of these are widespread denials across the political spectrum. All are acknowledged by at least half the population I’d say.

I think maybe one that is widespread... Racism. The right thinks it no longer exists and many in the left think that it is on the wane.... I believe both are wrong. Yes I combined two beliefs but for one problem.

Personal observation: the noise level in the US, either aural or visual, is beyond human tolerance, driving people insane and likely a cause of opiod dependence.

'American Society' as we perceive it, is a PR illusion distilled from The attractive, the wealthy, the mobile. Narcissism is as common as cavities. The actual society, it's dynamics is as hidden and unknown as Soviet Russian society was.
