For those interested in the philosophy of time, a fun exercise: try and experience times of day as changing colors based on your consciousness mood (like “blues” but a full spectrum). I suspect there are synesthetes who actually do this naturally. Log colors hourly.

Is there a term for processing time as discrete segments separated by food, sugar snacks, coffee trips and unproductive Slack humor?

synesthetic: can confirm this is a default of mine.
It works on multiple scales too: a daily meeting might have a coloured block, a vacation trip might in the weekly or monthly sense, seasons and years get their grander gradients. Chapters of life in the past are stuck

I often visualize blocks of time as spaces on a párchese board. Weekends are a darker shade of whatever color I’m imagining. Color depends on stress level. Lunch hour works the same way. Summer months and winter break, too.

Kinda getting into a habit of doing this already, only with colors assigned to occupations and health oddities.
