How does that differ from use of 'hour' in English in phrases like "the hour has come"?

Similar but more formally distinguished. It is used to indicate calculated auspicious times (for a wedding for instance). Eg: Rudra Muhūrta =6:00-6:48AM but “wedding Muhūrta” = a period where the wedding can happen
