I think this poll is biased because of availability heuristic (people remember more recent books they’ve read) and the increasing alternative of blogs makes people realize more books could be blog posts than they thought of 10-30 years ago

If we’re taking about a broad definition of “book,” then blogs are probably less influential than contemporary distribution platforms for self-published books (ofc. created without any quality control) to reach a broad audience.
