Hah, excellent empirical support for my circled wagons tweetstorm from yesterday. Now I know how Dirac felt when they detected antiparticles and proved his theory. This is probably the most important bit of political geography to understand for the medium term.

Hehe, no because that’s my point. He has the capacity to write endless reams about exurbia and bobos and stuff without ever offering a proper new insight about any of it. He just provides a dull WYSIWYG tourist guidebook type commentary

I don’t know, it felt at the time like he was belaboring the obvious and others were moving on to more in-depth insights. I’ll give him credit for ‘exurbia’ and ‘bobo’ labels but he didn’t do much useful with them. More Tycho Brahe than Kepler or Newton at best.
