Realized why I dislike manifestos. They are the normative and unfunny cousin of amirite humor. People who agree with your solution already will nod enthusiastically. People who disagree with your solution will deny the problem if they think it’s getting too much nodding.

Do you like vision statements? Mission statements? Provocative declamations? Do those three kinds of things normally have doctrinal parts?

They all have their place, as do manifestos proper, so long as you recognize their limits. Each has its zone of effectiveness. I mostly tend to traffic in exhibiting and copying effective behaviors though.
