If more than 1 in 3 tweets are sarcastic social commentary, people start to write you off as too defeated to be of any use to anybody. Hard to reverse. It’s a sort of self bozobit-flipping. Safe limit is ~ 1 in 5.

Unless you’re really really good at it. Then every tweet can be sarcastic social commentary and people will follow you for your biting wit. Hard to pull off, though.

Good rule of thumb. I wonder if opposite applies too. If never have a single funny/sarcastic tweet, do you get written off as too angry/serious?
I hope so. One thing Twitter has over news sites is lack of self-seriousness and pomp.
