All my tweets today inspired by one overarching thought: we are not living in peacetime. We’ve been living through a (relatively bloodless) wartime since mid-2015. Not just that, but in many respects a wartime comparable to WWI in terms of scale of social/institutional change.

What war? If you mean the culture war, it's been happening since at least 1967 (or much longer, but the current phase is basically between the sixties and its enemies)

Strongly disagree. The tendency to see this as minor sequel to the 60s is why the good guys are losing. The internet has made this a fundamentally new thing. Generals are always superbly prepared to refight last war. This is why I like frame of Digital Maginot Line.

Maybe I'm out of touch, but the internet provides new weapons and tactics, doesn't change the nature of the sides that much. But you haven't given your theory of the war (other than it started in 2015), so not sure what the argument is.
