any recommended books on the history of indian aesthetics? food, clothing, art, etc. (actually interested in recommendations for books that try to survey any country/culture's aesthetics.)

Fair warning, the classical theory is kinda mannered and ponderous with no meaningful development since Abhinavagupta circa 1000 AD.
I’m told there’s an emerging modern critical tradition of folk aesthetics focused particularly on textiles. might know more about that
ah, would be interested in the textile thing. have been pretty struck by the casual ubiquity/variety/beauty of patterning in fabric. (been visiting for the first time, if it wasnt obvious)
