@vgr this hit me like a ton of bricks. But you also reference cities picking up some of the slack. Wasn't this always a "large US cities" thing to begin with? Ie NYC, SV, LA, DC How much has that really changed? Or is the Trump smear (or what precipitated it) that strong?1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
It was an all-US thing to some extent. It felt like islands of closedness in general openness instead of the other way around.
