If you agree that culture wars are like real wars in many respects, what wartime measures should people adopt to stay safe?
I don’t think retreat from social media is the answer btw. You get hit worse later via indirect pathways.

Stock up on cultural goods that will become scarce, so to speak. I've got a whole giant pile of socialist/communist stuff to fall back on, since so little of it made it into mainstream discourse until very recently.

Do what the great weirdos Plato and Jesus did: Straussian writing techniques to say one thing at face value but give deeper meaning to people who are closely reading.
If you can't, feigning an air of ironic detachment with memes of plausible deniability = poor man's Straussian.

idk, I think of Sarajevo during the siege, or many similar situations. People can adjust to weird things. You learn what alleys not to cross if you don't want to get shot.

Info systems for both actual and metaphorical war overlap, so are evolving simultaneously. Many analogies to classical war risk being outdated, esp tactical ones, though strategic level could be more robust. What *actually* works for people *today*? Unclear to me...
