Iβm beginning to slowly recognize the full extent to which the culture wars are being fought with the seriousness, strategizing, purposes, and resources of real wars.
The worst mistake you can make is to be out in public social media imagining it is just a metaphor.

Culture wars are to shooting wars as ebooks to books. The goal is to efficiently gain control of territories, minds, societies. Killing is obsolete means to do that, like printing on paper.
The body count is lower because thatβs cheaper, not because combatants got more humane.

Culture war casualties. Both sides amping up a message of hate:
"ki-kil-kill yourself" is their veiled battle cry.

But then, maybe it's just my position in the network. I can see that it's not a metaphor because I've found myself at strange crossing.

We're exploring different aspects of the same territory? youtu.be/hoFKN0F5ps4?t= <- the ghosts of industrial past are fighting the ghosts of the digital future. I just happen to explore the tarpits and swamps in more detail?
