I mean something like was the original woman perhaps old or disabled or mentally ill or something? Or trying to pick a fight to manufacture a “BLM attacked me” thing? There’s still 60s style racism around of course, but I don’t think it plays out this overtly.

Any of those descriptors would've likely been mentioned by the poster, no? And probably elicited a kinder response. I too wanted to ask how old the white woman was (my guess is middle-aged), but there were so many comments on the thread I didn't think my question would be seen.

Yeah that’s why I was confused. I can’t visualize this playing out as a real scene, so it seems to be missing some elements. I still think there’s something missing because I can’t actually simulate it in my head without adding a 1960s Rosa Parks background.

*We* are confused. I don't think black people reading the thread are. Sorta like when even well-meaning men don't get how frequent, casual and pervasive sexual harassment can be, and us women just knowingly nod our heads. This incident is direct but not shocking, esp post-Trump.
