If inequality came down, left extremism and SJWism would likely dissipate naturally. It feels 90% like misdirected economic anger.
Harder to see what might drive right extremism down since it appears to be rooted in identity loss rather than economics.

Contrary to early rumors of Trump voters being poor blue collar types, it turns out they are mostly quite well off (unlike say the Bernie end of things)

It'd seem to depend on the mechanism in which inequality is alleviated; conservatives can tolerate high amounts of inequality as long as they believe results are "justly" distributed (using whatever idiosyncratic metrics they like), but likely wouldn't tolerate redistribution.

(Granted, these are actual "conservatives", not alt-right identitarians; for all intents and purposes I treat those as having exact same pathology as extreme SJWs, which may or may not be alleviated via economics. It's an interesting question.

Ooh, actual conservatives, did you see one somewhere? Did you take a picture and send it to the WWF, which has marked it an extinct species? 😆

I mostly think of "my dad", who might be only one I've actually met. "Culture" war was economic for him back in nineties as a construction contractor dealing with irregulation of illegal labor. I haven't double-checked his numbers myself precisely, but I believe he believes it.
