What are the important consequences of anti-intellectualism? Good, bad, neutral, short and long-term. Why do we need a subplot of intellectualism in culture at all?

Machines should continue supplanting all real, hard thinking for us, but intellectualism as conflict resolution (instead of status posturing or physical fighting) is a good ideal and should be revitalized at some point.

Good = bliss Bad = feelings of inadequacy Short term = conflict Long term = chaos Anti-intellectualism in an unstable state in society as they will keep fighting among themselves with no intellect to resolve issues

Anti-intellectuals practice believing things that are not supported by evidence. Belief without evidence is a skill. Practice makes perfect and the skill transfers to other areas of life. The quality of one's life is determined by how well we interact with reality.

Liberalism is incompatible with the creation of monastic orders as primary means of producing undistorted social metacognition, and the political, academic and economic institutions tend to get fully corrupted by their incentives if they don't compete with public intellectuals.

Monastic orders are primarily a way of tucking mystics away so that they DO NOT CAUSE TROUBLE
