I have an allergic reaction to things like PMP certifications, Lean Six Sigma etc. They are religions, and the certifications are theology certifications/purity tests. Take a bunch of academic things without crediting sources, wrap in bullshit packaging, add some theology, sell
And you think LSS really helps smooth that or just create an illusion of smoothness with hidden costs elsewhere? (My view is latter)

PMP and LSS are project based. Business success is not directly related to the sum of the successful projects minus the costs of the failed ones. The view of the project as the unit is weak.

Ah now that’s an intriguing insight I can get behind. Jibes with my current thinking and recent experiences.

While the management is committed, LSS creates a safe space for teams to work. Safe space doesn't guarantee results but gives a boost to efforts. LSS doesn't address all the issues an org has. If used as a magic bullet 1 /2

Management loses commitment when they don't see the results. Once mngment loses interest, the safe space disappears and teams relax back to default behaviors.
