My millenial brain says you could run a campaign with a plaintext website and a volunteer policy army (cf. reddit) and a dash of cultural attention discipline. What else do those billions get you? Are yard signs really that powerful?

True of anything actually. If you have money you can rent the voices. What you want to say is irrelevant since there’s a large population with sincere belief in anything.
