The axis here is populism vs elitism. Do you really want more populism?

Ideologically populism is actually just wealth-elitism in disguise since it has no indie intellectual capacity (vertical horseshoe theory) Cultural elitism is middle-class in funding (tax-funded higher education) and roots. Ie it’s middle class ideology vs rich ideology

The laziest approach to this would be not having a two party system(using two party system as a proxy for political thought in the United States). That would always make it Alice v/s Bob. In case of a multiparty system, consensus building becomes a huge challenge.
-
Not that in a multiparty system, there are different political thoughts/ideologies at play. In theory, it is possible.

My millenial brain says you could run a campaign with a plaintext website and a volunteer policy army (cf. reddit) and a dash of cultural attention discipline. What else do those billions get you? Are yard signs really that powerful?

Money buys you endless brute repetition of your ideas

Capable and competent public institutions decentered from ideologues, at local/regional level. Risk is sclerosis and some abuse that can be overcome by well thought out outcome architecture.
-
There are always ideologues in ideology. And that’s a good thing. The problem is money piles behind them. If Koch and Soros ideologies competed in an open arena of ideologies rather than for bandwidth with $ that would be healthier.

attention >>> money for causing political change. Money only matters because public attention is limited and the policy universe is huge.
-
And because money can swamp attention channels through repetition and reinforcement. The biggest difference between my politics and that of Kochs and Soros is that they can afford to have theirs repeated billions of times more.
