Assuming the alternative is checking the time on your phone, i find the idea rather uncomfortable. A watch is always here, you can set interval alarms blindly, you can measure intervals. A phone is a bulky, always almost-lost thingy without any of these features.

Amongst millenials who do wear wrist watches I think it's often a premium-mediocre thing i.e. cheap imitation of the aesthetics/meaning of inter-generational timepieces (I'm 28 and wear a wristwatch lol)
