I think some refined version of Amy Cuddy's power pose stuff will get vindicated at some point. My spidey sense tells me there's a there there. The stats police kinda won round 1 on procedural grounds rather than persuasive falsification of the intuition with an alt theory

I think this too. It definitely works for some class of athletes, bodybuilders, etc. I'm guessing it doesn't work for doubtful skeptics. It's probably not the pose itself that works magic, but priming your own mind with positive associations, memories, etc

Yeah a slight 'felt power' effect was replicated. This could be crucial in some contexts where feeling powerful leads more directly to better performance. Like in fights among males for example (Ie power poses - generalized/redirected dominance displays)

I'm not personally a crazy fan of Tony Robbins, but I think he has an understanding of how this sort of thing works + how to enable it in willing participants. See "I Am Not Your Guru" on Netflix
