Totally depends on what value people seek from you. My heuristic is the reverse. If I'm the right person to ask, them the question is likely unclear. If the question is clear I'm rarely the right person.

I'm thinking about it in terms of just bad: "Hey Venkat, can I pick your brain" legible + bad fit: "Hey Venkat, how to <perform well-understood task>?" good fit(?): "there's something weird going on here, I think it's X but it looks like it might be Y, wtf?"

Yeah a good way to hook my interest is to throw a generally vague but intriguing mystery X at me not requiring specialized knowledge to solve
