I still cling on to the romantic delusion that some sort of Lennon/McCartney, Jobs/Wozniak creative rivalry-partnership will fulfil me deeply; I think I meet people with the hope of finding another polytribal weirdo who's interested in a semi-stable collaborative relationship
(Amusingly, most of my single friends' complaints abt romantic r/ships apply here: sometimes I have people approaching me, but they're too eager or green for me to work with. Sometimes I find cool people I like, but they're out of my "range". Feels like I'm between frequencies)
Haven't played in a "serious" one in about 4-5 years; am writing and reflecting about past experiences. Think I might enjoy getting into one again. I also actually have a pretty cool foothold with @statement_sg that me and my partner have been way too lazy to do anything about 😂
So... should I double down & reinvigorate my existing creative partnerships? Or look for sth better? Maybe I'm just enjoying the fantasy, lol. If it were sth that Really Bloody Mattered to me I'd be actively networking at least weekly 🤔 Damn your introspection-inducing questions
