Do I need to read the book to understand the game? I have very low appetite for reading books these days :)

Looking at wikipedia, this is an eerily opportune reco. I just checked out a few books on Petrarch from the library (the monk who coined the term 'Dark Age') and this seems in the same vein. I might read it thanks. I've only read Siddhartha as a teenager 25-30y ago
