Paycheck people have NO clue how good they have it.
What's in it for the company to let me do this? I don't think it's a cost-free option for them. Such shenanigans do eventually show up in their rates (since churn enters the function)

Uh... clearly we have different levels of risk tolerance for that kind of reputational damage and/or bad faith. It is *extremely* costly for a company to hire somebody and have it not work out. I'd only do it as an arrangement with a friendly business owner.
