what I’m trying to say is from a respectful, liberal relativist point of view, we can’t have hierarchy in ideologies because what group gets to determine hierarchy? where is the higher truth to appeal to if we admit cultural relativist hypothesis?
If those beliefs are actually adaptive then they'd win. Ideological superiority has no necessary relation to scientific notions of truth. I don't think it can happen in this case because modern survival depends too strongly on scientific knowledge

I don't think it's a problem except to those who hold such views. They can't sustain civilization independently and are not a serious parasitic threat (Ayn Randian boogeyman)

if we teach kids, "a is true" + "b is true" when a and b are seriously mutually incompatible, we halt inquisition at a very shallow level
