The culture wars are not resolvable through debate. We are on the cusp of a Cambrian explosion of pseudospeciation. May the best candidates for homo sapiens subculturalis win.

You r an optimist. What about cyclicality in impact/response btwn aging systems and incoming participants? Any system has a maturity curve. Many today are clogged with toxic legacy byproducts and challenged by new, non trafitional participants.

There's a lot of that too. I think the Pareto circulation-of-elites foxes-and-lions cycle explains a lot of the current tenor of culture wars. Aging systems included in formulation though. There will be more species in new crop of institutions.

I get your point. Social evolution confounds classical evolution of the species. I thinking of social force as a (mostly)hidden dimension.

Sci-fi plot I've been thinking about: all babies are made via opt-in unbundled economy of egg/sperm banks and surrogate wombs and foster parenting. Solves declining birth rate but completely rewires culture.

Wondering about all human mediated breeding efforts suffering from to little diversity by at least an order of magnitude.
