The culture wars are not resolvable through debate. We are on the cusp of a Cambrian explosion of pseudospeciation. May the best candidates for homo sapiens subculturalis win.

You r an optimist. What about cyclicality in impact/response btwn aging systems and incoming participants? Any system has a maturity curve. Many today are clogged with toxic legacy byproducts and challenged by new, non trafitional participants.

There's a lot of that too. I think the Pareto circulation-of-elites foxes-and-lions cycle explains a lot of the current tenor of culture wars. Aging systems included in formulation though. There will be more species in new crop of institutions.

Surely subspeciation will happen due to mutations allowing a better fit in a particular niche.
Not one species to inherit the throne, but many.

It's because of where we are in the civilizational cycle: decline.
