That's my conclusion too. Weirdly, that's a problem I solved for PhD (scheduler that was prioritizing short jobs creating long-job backlog)

Basically, I've run out of blog-length ideas and only have book-length ones left in the backlog.

Takes me about 45 minutes to load situation awareness of a 4000-7000 word into working memory than I can navigate the draft well

Much harder to just load (say) a 4000 word chapter chunk into head and work on it. Plus motivation is weak since payoff is far away.

But it gives you interruption resistance. Instead of spending hours getting back into state you can just reignite the cinders with a glance.
