That's a good question. I'll have to think about it more. What came to mind are compassionate jokes made in comedian Jonny Harris' tv show
Conversation
Jonny Harris visits small towns, then makes a stand-up comedy show. I'll tell you a joke from one, but it may not be funny out of context.

He went to Fort McMurray in Northern Alberta shortly after significant parts of town were burned down by a giant wildfire, and people died.

Here's one of the things he said in his set "I said there was something funny about that though..." 1/2

"...like there was this 600 000 hectare wildfire, doesn't want to deal with a Fort Mac winter, right?" 2/2

I think I get it, but I don't think this is what I was asking for. I don't want compassionate humor, but humor attacking idea of compassion

Huh. I was looking for compassionate humour about compassion, but not finding it, it kept sliding off into different crueler places.

Like this one about the blind elephants examining a human, is that closer? reddit.com/r/Jokes/commen

Or something like,
"Just remember our shared humanity --we are all brothers and sisters."
"Spoken like an only child."

I think compassion is a sentiment that can easily lose sight of its own limits basking in its own sense of nobility and humor exploits that.
